An Adelaide woman got the shock of her life when she opened her car to find a red-bellied black snake had taken up residence.
The resident went to get in her car at Blewitt Springs when she spotted the uninvited passenger on the dashboard.
The woman made a quick exit from the car as the snake quickly retreated behind the dash.
Expert catchers were able to safely draw it out and relocate it a day later as the reptile came out for some sun.
The catchers also found a shed skin in the rear tyre well.
